Walls Close In: A Home Confinement Story

Surviving on Lockdown
Life as we knew it has drastically changed. The world past our doors is a shadow of its former bustle. We are now stuck within the walls of our homes, forced to adjust to a new lifestyle. The days melt, marked by the pattern of online meetings, consuming media, and baking. We crave for the simple pleasures that were once granted for granted: a stroll in the park, a coffee with friends, or even just a talk without a screen separating us.
This new situation has brought challenges, but it has also unveiled unexpected strengths within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more understanding, more creative, and more thankful for the little things in life. As we navigate this uncharted territory, we must stay hopeful that brighter days are ahead.
Six Feet From Freedom
Life behind bars is a harsh reality. Every day, you face limitations that feel like an unbreakable barrier. The world outside seems so reachable, yet it's separated by just that symbolic distance of six feet.
Sometimes, the weight of those bars feels insurmountable. You crave freedom with every fiber of your being. The constant ticking of time serves as a reminder that you're trapped.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a home arrest gleam of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be free. That day might seem uncertain, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Freedom's Imprisonment
The allure with freedom can be an enticing force. Yet, paradoxically, it can also lead to imprisonment. This happens when the very notion of freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a weapon for control and suppression.
Authentic freedom demands not only the absence with external constraints but also the cultivation of internal spirit. When this inner core is lacking, even within a society that celebrates freedom, individuals can find themselves bound within the restrictions of their own beliefs.
Ultimately, the true measure for freedom lies in our ability to break free the constraints that impede our potential, both externally and internally.
